State of Caring Reports

Every two years, Family Carers Ireland conducts the State of Caring survey, Ireland’s most comprehensive survey to better understand the lives and experiences of family carers.

The findings are used to highlight the impact of being a carer to the media, in evidence submissions to the Government and in reports that influence decision-makers and policymakers in a wide range of areas.

The State of Caring 2026 survey closed on 9 March 2026 and the final report will be launched during National Carers Week 2026.
