State of Caring Reports

Every two years Family Carers Ireland conducts the State of Caring survey, Ireland’s most comprehensive survey to better understand the lives and experiences of family carers.

The findings are used to highlight the impact of being a carer to the media, in evidence submissions to the Government and in reports that influence decisionmakers and policy makers in a wide range of areas.

Our State of Caring Survey 2026 opened on 26 January 2026 and will close on 4 March 2026.
