The Family Carers Ireland Podcast
Our podcast creates space for the voices and experiences of family carers to be heard - a place to listen, learn and stand with them.
Across Ireland, an estimated 624,000+ family carers provide essential care, support and advocacy for the people they love. Their contribution is immense, but too often unseen. This series brings those experiences into the open, placing voices from the caring community at the centre of conversations about care, support and change.
We will speak with family carers, our own staff, experts and community leaders about the realities of caring today. Together, we explore the pressures carers face, the supports that can help, the policy issues shaping their lives, and the ways carers are driving change in their communities and across the country.
Whether you are a family carer, know someone who is, work in policy or services, or simply want to understand more, this podcast is for you.
Caring can touch any of our lives. At some point, many of us will provide care for someone we love or need care ourselves. Understanding the realities of family caring, and the supports that make a difference, matters to us all.
Because no one should have to care alone.
