Private Home Care

At the heart of our home care service is ensuring that it matches your needs.

Our services are designed to assist people in their own homes and can be provided to anyone aged 18 and over. Here’s what we can do:

Help with personal care & hygiene

Our HCWs have appropriate Care Skills training  to allow them competently and safely assist Service Users with personal care. For many people, having assistance with the activities of daily living is the support they need to allow them to remain living in their own home. We provide assistance with simple daily tasks such as a body wash, oral hygiene, dressing or showering.

Help with getting up and going to bed

We provide assistance to Service Users to get up for the day and/or settle down in bed for the night. Our HCWs have appropriate moving and handling training which will ensure they can safely support people to transfer to and from bed manually or with the use of a hoist or other aid.

Meal preparation and care-related household support

Breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks! Whether it’s a reheating pre-prepared meals, assisting Service Users to prepare their own food and supporting them to cook it, or simply preparing snacks, our Home Care Workers can assist with meal preparation as required.

Companionship and Social Support

Our Home Care Workers are available to visit people at home simply to spend time with them. At the set up the service, we’ll gather information to help get to know our Service User better, for example their hobbies and interests, details of life and carer and their day to day routines. We offer peace of mind by pairing your loved one with caring professionals trained to provide gentle, attentive support.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care

All of our Home Care Workers receive ongoing specialized dementia education, ensuring they bring both technical skill and emotional empathy to your loved one. They understand the complex needs of those living with memory loss and how to provide compassionate support.

Respite Care

We understand that everyone needs a break. That’s why our in-home respite care is provided in blocks of two hours or more - allowing you more time to step away and catch your breath while we take care of your loved one.

Palliative Care

Our staff can assist your specialist palliative care team, facilitating holistic care that includes practical, emotional, and social support. By working closely with the specialist palliative nurses, we can provide an extra layer of support and presence for your family.

Tax Relief

Tax relief may significantly reduce what you actually pay per hour for our private home care service. Depending on your circumstances, you can claim up to 40% tax relief*.

Where care costs are shared between family members, tax relief may be shared pro rata, based on individual contributions.

*Tax relief is subject to Revenue Commissioners’ rules and individual eligibility. Clients should confirm their entitlement directly with Revenue or a qualified tax advisor. Relief may be available at the standard or marginal rate.
