Male Carer Support

Two in every five family carers in Ireland are men. Taking that first step and asking for help can make a real difference to your caring role, as no one should have to care alone.

With thanks to funding from the Cavan Sports Partnership, Family Carers Ireland has created three videos which all aim to speak to male carers who may find it difficult to talk about their caring role and indeed the challenges that come with caring for a loved one with additional needs. We want you to know we are here for every family carer and we are looking to grow our male carer support system locally, so you have peer support as well as support from your nearest Family Carers Ireland Support Centre.
