The Community Employment (CE) programme is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.
Our Caring in Offaly CE Scheme primarily provides respite care in the home to allow the carer take a well-deserved break. The scheme operates from Tullamore but also provides respite services in Laois/Offaly.
Participants will benefit from training and gaining a QQI Major Award in Healthcare and gain experience by working in the community.
Our Caring in Waterford CE Scheme primarily provides home care in the family home to allow the carer take a well-deserved break. The scheme operates throughout Wexford and Waterford.
Participants will benefit from the work experience in the home and apply the learning to the training in healthcare gaining an accreditation for the learning and skills developed, e.g. QQI minor awards leading to a major award in healthcare.
The scheme also provides work experience opportunity for administration work. This experience will offer a learning opportunity in communication skills, organisation skills, IT skills etc., QQI qualification in office skills and/or business skills will enhance the participant's opportunity for progression into employment.
