Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is committed to the quality of home care service provision and the safety of our clients and staff team and all their families and loved ones.
During and post-pandemic, we continue to follow strict protocols which were developed to ensure the safety of staff delivering care and the people receiving care in their homes. These protocols are reviewed and updated regularly based on evolving information from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
All FCI staff are provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (based on a comprehensive risk assessment and revised home care plans) to ensure the provision of safe and risk adverse care to our staff, clients and their loved ones. All FCI staff providing care have been trained in how to apply and dispose of this PPE in a safe manner. Constant communication between FCI staff and people receiving services is maintained as this is paramount to ensure the highest quality, person centred and safest service possible is provided throughout this pandemic.
